Dr. Arthur Chinedu Idoko obtained his MB.BS. degree from the University of Jos.

He holds a Master of Public Health degree (MPH) and a Certificate in Health Economics from the World Bank Institute Washington DC. He is a fellow of the West African College of Physicians (FWACP).

Dr. Idoko is widely travelled, and has attended and presented papers in several international conferences including the 2005 International Healthcare Facility Exhibition and Conference (IHFEC) in Singapore, the centenary conference of the Royal Society for Tropical Medicine and Hygiene on Millennium Development Goals 2007 in Central London as well as Gordon Research Conferences (GRC) on Malaria, Biology of Acute Respiratory infections, Genes and Behaviour, Multi-drug Efflux Systems held severally in Oxford UK, California and Galveston, Texas and Lucca Italy, since 2008 to date.

Dr. Idoko is a Consultant Physician in the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH) and a Lecturer in the College of Medicine of the University of Nigeria with a sub-specialty in Health Systems Management.

He has done consultancies for several International Organizations including UNICEF, DFID/ PATHS 11 and Family Health International on a wide range of issues such as sensitization on the then Ebola scourge, Public Private Partnership (PPP) and Quarterly Integrated Supervision (QISS)/ Monitoring and Evaluation in Hospitals in Nigeria.

Dr Idoko was in February 2014 appointed the Chairman, Enugu State Hospitals Management Board by His Excellency the Governor of Enugu State. In this position he oversees health care service delivery and functioning of all state owned hospitals in terms of recruitment, staffing, hospitals supplies/ equipment as well as general services. He also presides at board meetings.

Dr Idoko has a number of publications to his credit in local and International journals including BMC Health Services Research, Global Health Sciences Journal, International Journal of Medicine and Health Development amongst others.
